The new has worn off.
It’s time to get honest about our business growth.
April is the perfect month to make adjustments to your current process and growth strategies.
soooo…
Let’s Do Some Spring Cleaning!
As you enter the second quarter of the year, it’s the perfect time to do some spring cleaning! Time has a tendency to fly by and, at times, it may get away from us. As a business owner, it’s important to have a clear understanding of your goals and to make steady progress in achieving them. You don’t want your goals to go by the wayside simply because time got away from you.
That means - - - it’s time for a little goal eval!!
Are you on-schedule to achieve your SMART goals?
Take an honest assessment of the goals you want to achieve. Have you made strides in moving your goals forward? Or, have you put off completing the necessary tasks to make your goals a reality?
If you don’t put in the effort you won’t see the results.
Make sure you are working on tasks that keep your business moving forward - - even if that movement is a small step. Remember, small steps create momentum. Embrace the baby-steps. It’s better to be a little late to the party than to never show up at all. In other words, don’t miss out on achieving something simply because you didn’t make the effort.
If you want to accomplish a goal, make it a priority and set aside time to do the work.
Prioritizing your time and staying enthusiastic about your goals can sometimes be a struggle. I get it. Every year, countless people vow to lose weight, eat healthier, exercise more - - you know the drill. But many of them don’t follow through. Why? Maybe they want the end result but they are put off by the process. Or, maybe they lacked the motivation and passion to push through during the tough times.
So, I want you to ask yourself a few questions...
What drives you to make your goals happen? (your external why)
Are you passionate about achieving your goals? If yes, write down your “internal why.”
Is the process slowing you down or is it the end-goal itself that no longer motivates you?
Be honest about your next step
Take a moment to reflect on these questions and be honest. Impactful change can happen when you understand the root of the problem. A quick self-assessment can provide you with valuable insight into why you’re not achieving the results you desire.
If your passion is lacking, it might be a good time to re-evaluate your goals. But if lack of passion isn’t what’s holding you back, then press on until you discover the real issue. Once you do, make the adjustments to combat the obstacles, update your processes, and if necessary, quickly pivot your business strategies to regain momentum in your business growth.
And, of course, continue to do “quarterly check-ins” to help you stay focused and on-track.
Entrepreneurship is a marathon, not a sprint.
You need to be clear about where you’re headed and intentional about the steps you must take to get you to your desired result. And, when you come up against a roadblock, assess the issues, make adjustments, and, if necessary, pivot!
Cheers to tremendous business growth in Q2!
